Meghan Royal Angel Dream Cake!
Yes, that is the cake we are making today.
For you Meghan and for all girls who are dreaming big.
So, let’s do it, baking nation.
Time for BAKING DREAMS!
- semisweet chocolate,cocoa,water
- flour,baking soda,salt
- white and brown sugar, butter,eggs,sour cream,vanilla extract
- cream cheese,heavy cream,icing sugar
For this recipe use 9 inch round cake pan.
Action Time – Meghan Royal Angel Dream Cake
3 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
1/8 cup cocoa
3/4 cup boiling water
1/2 cup butter,softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup flour (AP)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 package cream cheese (8 oz)
1/2 +1/8 cup heavy cream
1 1/8 cup icing sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
5 oz chocolate (chopped)
1 TBSP oil
Coat 9 inch round cake pan with baking spray.
Put 3 oz chopped chocolate and 1/8 cup cocoa in a heatproof bowl.
Add 3/4 cup boiling water and whisk until chocolate is melted.
Using a small bowl add 3/4 cup AP flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda and 1/4 tsp salt. Set aside.
Using a stand mixer with the paddle attachment mix butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
Add 2 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Slowly add sour cream and vanilla.
The butter will look curdled at this point. Don’t worry.
First add 1/3 flour mixture, mix, then add..
1/2 chocolate mixture…mix…add
1/3 flour mixture, mix…add
1/2 chocolate mixture…mix …add
1/3 flour mixture…mix all ingredients again.
Pour the batter into prepared 9 inch round pan and bake at 325 F for about 25 minutes.
Start checking after 20 minutes using a toothpick.
Cool completely in the pan.
Make the cheese cream filling
Mix 8 oz cream cheese, 1/4 tsp vanilla and 1 1/8 cup icing sugar.
In another bowl mix 1/2 cup + 1/8 cup heavy cream until stiff.
Gradually fold cream into cheese/sugar mixture.
Spread over chocolate cake.
Refrigerate for about 4 hours or overnight.
Using a double boiler method, melt chocolate and 1 TBSP oil.
Pour over cream cheese mixture.
Return to fridge for 2 hours.
