I am not going to talk about you or me or any of us in this moment.

All I want to talk is this LOVE called Garlic Spinach Pizza.

Yes, even if life is not the most certain in this moment and we are moving towards “new inside life” I need to share this recipe. It will bring you so much happiness. And JOY! Call me crazy, but JOY is all we need.

Or maybe I should called Dostoevski who said: “Beauty will save the world.”

Of course, it will. That is why I am here. Make me now! – says Garlic Spinach Pizza.

Since arguing with food is not an optional and rational thought yet, I suggest we move into the action mode and make it happen.

SHOPPING LIST

For this recipe you need simple ingredients:

  • flour
  • spinach
  • cheese
  • mushrooms
  • Dr. GARLIC
  • yeast
  • salt, sugar
  • Oregano
  • oil

How to make Garlic Spinach Pizza?

Ingredients

1 cup + 3/4 cup  + 1/8 cup AP flour (almost 2 cups)

1 tsp instant yeast

2 Tbsp olive oil

1 cup water (you will use 1/4 cup + 3/4 cup)

1 tsp salt

1/4 tsp sugar

THE TOPPINGS

mushrooms, spinach, grated cheese, garlic, Oregano

INSTRUCTIONS

This is my favorite pizza dough. I made this recipe about billion times and will continue.

So, let’s start.

In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup of water, yeast and salt. Let stand for 5 min.

Add 3/4 cup warm water, 2 TBSP olive oil, 1/4 tsp sugar.

Mix all ingredients together using a metal spoon.

Add 1 cup of flour and mix with a spoon.

Then add 3/4 cup of flour and keep mixing

until the spoon says: “Leave me alone your hard working bitch!”

Trust me, you will hear it. At this point retire your spoon unless you want the conflict to escalate.

Since I know you are kind and peaceful human being you will start using your hands at this point.

Calmly and surely. (don’t be afraid, you need to practice)

Knead dough until smooth, adding more flour by TBSP. You will know. If you add 2 TBSP of flour and

dough is happy you can stop at that point. You don’t need to use all 1/8 cup of flour.

Transfer to prepared bowl and coat with olive oil. (or oil you have)

Cover bowl with tea towel and let dough rise in warm area until double in volume, about 60 min or 1 hour.

THE PIZZA TOPPINGS AND FUN

Flatten your dough ball with your hands and stretch out into a round or any shape that you like. (about 9 inches or 23 cm)

Brush dough top with organic olive oil.

Spread the pizza sauce all over the top of pizza. Then top your pizza sauce with minced garlic.

After that add toppings: mushrooms topped with garlic, spinach + garlic and finish with grated cheese.

To finish sprinkle olive oil and add generous amount of dry oregano.

Bake at 400 F for about 25 minutes or until done.

IMPORTANT FOR THIS RECIPE

How much garlic to use?

I use 6 cloves of garlic. 2 for pizza sauce, 2 for mushrooms and 2 for spinach.

Be sure the garlic is minced. (if you or your kids don’t like the garlic)

Also if you are not afraid of garlic you can chop into larger pieces and sprinkle over your toppings.

What kind of pizza sauce did I use?

I use Catelli. BTW, you can use your favorite.
