TIME FOR Caramelized Lazy Hazelnuts!

Ingredients
1 3/4 cups hazelnuts
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Spread your shelled hazelnuts on it in a single layer.
Place into the oven and bake from 10 to 12 minutes at 350 F.( I did for 10 minutes)
Wrap baked hazelnuts in a kitchen towel and let them hug for a few minutes.
While they are hugging, use kitchen towel to gently rub the hazelnuts to release their skins.
Store in an airtight container for about 6 months.

LESSON 2 – Are you ready to caramelize sugar?
First of all this method is so easy and I called it lazy way.
Ingredients
1 cup white sugar
Instructions
Add sugar to a medium saucepan. (heavy-bottomed saucepan)
Be sure to spread the sugar in an even layer.
IMPORTANT: DON’T STIR!
Just wait until sugar is melted naturally, no matter how much it looks like it needs stirring.
Cook until sugar starts to melt at the edges.

At this point, shake the saucepan to redistribute the melting sugar.(but don’t stir)
Keep shaking it until the sugar is melted and caramelized.
Remove from heat. You just completed lesson 2.
LESSON 3–CARAMELIZED HAZELNUTS
Remove caramelized sugar from the heat and add hazelnuts.
Stir for a minute or until hazelnuts are coated.
Be careful, the mixture is extremely HOT!
Pour coated hazelnuts onto a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Be sure to separate hazelnuts so that each stands alone.

Cool it.
Break apart into desired sizes.

Yes, you can make this in bigger batches.
You can easily double or triple the recipe.
This recipe I used in 2 weeks. (I kept in glass jar)
I don’t know how much you will make but you can always store in an airtight container in the freezer and take out when needed.
