Ingredients
- 24 caramels
- 3 TBSP heavy cream
- Pizzelle cookies (1 package)
- Optional: hazelnuts, walnuts and almonds for decoration.
Instructions
How to make caramel filling?
Add 24 caramels candies and 3 TBSP of heavy cream into the sauce pan.
Heat the sauce pan over medium heat until caramel candies start to melt.
Be sure to stir often, specially when caramels start to melt.
When the mixture is smooth remove from the heat.
Spread about 1 TBSP of caramel filling onto the side of a cookies.
Then spread 1 TBSP of Nutella on top of caramel filling and sandwich with another cookie.
Repeat with the remaining cookies until you use all caramel filling.
Optional: If you don't like Nutella, you can use your favorite jam. Also, you can make pizzelle cookie sandwiches using just Nutella. It is your choice.
